Vineyard Malbec

Named after the celebrated wine grape with roots in France and global acclaim from Argentina, Malbec reflects a legacy of strength, resilience, and character. Known for producing wines that are bold, rich, and deeply colored, the Malbec grape mirrors this young ram’s strong build, dark, handsome features, and confident presence. Just as the grape thrived when given the right environment, Malbec is a lamb poised for success — carrying the depth, versatility, and quiet power that define the finest examples of his name.  Malbec is scoring a 4/5 on our socialization scale, he is curious and biddable!

Gender: Ram

Physical Characteristics:

Classic is how we define this ram lambs looks, he has lovely symmetrical knee patches and a square build, he also sports a great set of “airplane” ears!  His fleece has luster to spare.  Malbec is an IVF lamb out of our -1, first in her class in Iowa ewe, La Nina and is sired by Parkdale Isa.

Isa is the full brother to Highland Incredible Hulk, the sire of four of only ten sheep awarded maximum points at Blacknose Beauties 2024 in the UK — including the Reserve Male Champion, Deepdale Luca. Deepdale Luca later set a new male breed auction record, selling for 22,000gns (NZ$47,000, US$29,000).
