Sometimes the biggest wins start with a decision everyone else thought was a little too bold.

Buying a Maximum Point, Supreme Champion ram overseas was a risk. A big one.

But I believed in him. I believed in his genetics, and more importantly, I believed in what those genetics could mean for the future of our flock.
Today, that bold decision feels worth every bit of the risk.

We now have embryos from him safely and successfully in the United States to use in our own flock, carrying genetics I once could only dream about bringing home.

And here in the UK, LandRover has a Maximum Point lamb on the ground, giving us our first real glimpse of exactly what he can throw.

There is something incredibly emotional about standing in front of a lamb that exists because you were willing to take a chance long before you knew how the story would end.

There are still many chapters left to write, but this week I got to see one of those bold ideas become real.

The embryos are in America. The lamb CCM Nansi is on the ground in the UK. And the gamble paid off.

Sometimes you have to be willing to make the bold move before everyone else can see the vision. ❤️🐑

Thank you and congratulations to CCM Valais Blacknose for all the work it took. You guys have become family and I couldn’t be more proud to be witness to your success!

When you’ve done yourself proud and earned a good scratch. This boy is a gem of a ram.

Proud to be a sponsor for a lovely ewe lamb class at the 10th anniversary Blacknose Beauties! Even more fun that the winner of the class was Valais Blacknose Sheep Scotland with a Maximum point!

Are they friendly? A question we always get asked. These cuddles are all voluntary. It’s like someone crossed a Golden Retriever with a goat and put wool on it, but without all the goat naughtiness…mostly 😉

Our half interest ram is headed to Black Nose Beauties to strut his stuff and we couldn’t be more proud of him. His first US babies will be born Winter of 2027!
